Previously, I posted a cool quote from SoaW. It began “Memory is part of the present.” My memory of a past event (Liir having never actually slept with Candle, unless it was in a comatose state) affected my present day reading & reaction to the book (when it was suggested that he did, indeed, sleep with Candle).
My original memory was vindicated though! Last night, in the chapter “Kumbricia’s Cradle,” Candle more or less revealed that she had taken Liir’s virginity while he was in a coma, as he had no memory of making love, and subsequently, impregnating her.
