Jobie teaches high school language arts, independent study, and deaf/hard of hearing classes in the Metro Atlanta area.  He is also his school’s gifted program coordinator and was selected Teacher of the Year for the 2007-2008 school year.  In 2006, Southern Voice and the Atlanta Pride Committee named him the LGBT Educator of the Year for the State of Georgia.  During the summer, he serves as the Communicative Arts department chair (and teaches!)  for the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program.
